Know exactly what therapy costs
before you reach out.

Therapy is an investment, and you deserve clarity. Here's everything, fees, insurance, and how billing works, in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask during your free consultation. Helping people understand their coverage is something I'm genuinely good at.

Session fees

$200

Individual session, 50 minutes

  • Free initial consultation: 15 minutes, by phone, $0
  • Sliding scale: a limited number of reduced-fee spots based on financial need. Please ask during your consultation.

Payment is due at the time of session. Accepted: cash, Visa, Mastercard, Zelle, and Venmo.

Using insurance (in-network)

I am in-network with Blue Shield.

  • Before your first session, I'll verify your coverage and let you know your expected cost per session (copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount) so there are no surprises.
  • You pay only your share at the time of session; I bill your plan directly for the rest.
  • Coverage questions are welcome. With a background in behavioral health billing, I can usually tell you exactly what your plan will and won't do.

Out-of-network & private pay

If I'm not in-network with your plan, you still have good options:

What insurance billing shares

A note on privacy: when insurance is billed, your health plan receives the limited clinical information needed to process claims, typically a mental health diagnosis, dates of service, and service codes. Plans may also request treatment records in some circumstances. Most clients are comfortable with this tradeoff, but you deserve to make it knowingly. If you prefer that nothing be shared with an insurer, private pay is always available.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. Under federal law, health care providers must give clients who do not have insurance, or who choose not to use insurance, an estimate of expected charges for services. You may request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Read the full notice here.

Cancellation policy

Your session time is reserved for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged $100, since that time can rarely be offered to someone else. Please note that insurance plans do not cover missed-session fees. Emergencies happen; if something genuinely unavoidable comes up, just talk to me.
